Wow it's February already

Just picked up this amazing kit at Song Bird Avenue for a charity collab for Haiti. This months sales are being donated to Doctors without Borders. Just click on Song Bird to go pick it up.

Also having some other exciting news. I am going to be on Sara's at Sweet Blossom Design Creative Team. She has beautiful work and I hope I can keep up. You all know I'm a scraping machine but I also have quite a bit of homework. Three design classes and a business class.

I'm up to June now on my Desktops using the Twilight Kit from Flergs. Can't show them as I would like because of all the photos from the movie but having a blast. My husband just laughs at me and says in his squeaky girlie voice "It's so romantic".

I have been enjoying re-reading the Twilight Sage so much that I decided to make a desk top for Feb. with a couple of kits. Just picked up Flergs - Scrapbook Graphics new bundle New Moon and mixed that with her Into the Twilight also used a few pieces from Heartistic Touch - Scrap Orchard - Her Lullaby. Very Fun.

Music to my Soul

My husband plays the piano so beautiful and I always enjoy hearing him play. He works so hard and doesn't get to play as much as he would like.

My Mom and Sister Snow Shoeing up in Tahoe. She has the coolest snow shoes shoes that she bought on line from Australia I think. You can go forward, backwards or sideways with them. It's really fun but hard work. Love these photo's of them.

Happy New Years DAY

Hey everyone Happy New Year. It was a fun day yesterday. My husband had to work a 12 hour day and I took the kids to a favorite play place. They had a blast. I read while they played. I'm on book two of the twilight series. I borrowed them from my sister. I saw the second movie about two weeks ago and thought my winter break would be a good time to read a grown up book. Hee! Hee! As much as I like Green Eggs and Ham and Walter the Farting Dog, it has been so nice to read something for me. It's been so long I forgot just how much I enjoy it.
I enjoyed the movie so much and now reading the books kind of fills in the blanks. I used several kits to make this layout. Sweet Blossom Designs - Twilight, Flergs - Into the Twilight, Maltese Scraper - Girls Night Out, the rose is unknown. I had a hard time finding a good image that was decent but this one was very good.

My hope for the World is a better year for everyone in it and that we can find some way to all get along and coexist. I know it more than likely will never happen because we are all so judgemental and intolerant of others but I can HOPE.

This is a continuation of the other two pages using Armina Designs - Crash Boom Pow kit, Font - CK Comic Book.

This is a combination of kits that I've had for a while and I Love it. Used Urban Fairytales - Wonderland freebie, K Aagards - Sunshine Alpha (recolored), AWP - Where the Heart is for Hearts and Leaves, Tea Cup - Artgal Style, Font - Glider Girls.

We love to go to Bavarian World to buy bread and yummy German Foods. We had just picked up my Mom at the Airport and stopped by to pick up some goodies.

My Brother My Hero

We had so much fun at my husbands Family Christmas Party at work. The kid's had a blast. And isn't this the cutest super hero kit. I had so much fun making this page.

Stacey's Scraps "J is for Jam Session"

I went down to my husbands work one day went they were setting up for the New York Ballet. They were busy getting ready and usually on those days works 10 to 16 hour days. He comes home whipped but loves his work. Plus he meets so many really great people.

It was fun to see all the behind the scenes stuff that no one ever sees. I couldn't believe how high up from the stage they have to work sometimes. And they went from having a seven man crew to having three. I don't know how they do it.

I sure miss riding my motorcycle on nice days when I see everyone out. I was so lucky in the eight years that I rode. Didn't ever have an accident. There were many close calls usually people didn't see you. My Dad always told me pretend your invisible and have a exit strategy so you don't get hit. Of course when I rode a bike there weren't very many women riders back then so most people noticed me especially if I wore pink. There is nothing like it. You feel like your flying. My friends and I would ride every other weekend all over San Diego County.

Some Pre-Christmas Layouts

Couldn't get the kids any closer to Santa than this and I had to kneel behind them to even get them that close. They would take the candy cane and quickly back up. I told the person taking the photos not to worry that this was good.

We went to the Casino to have lunch and took some cute photos around the beautiful Christmas displays. The kid's did a good job and we rode the train at Circus Circus.

I made this layout of Mom and her grand kids so see could email it to all her German friends for Christmas. We promised a new (small) toy if they did a good job. As you can see someone was not going to smile for any reason not even a new toy.

The dress that my daughter is wearing in this photo my Mom saved from long ago. It was one that I wore often and it was from my Oma. I was quite happy that she wanted to wear it even if only for a short time.

I will use this kit again and again. Only did one layout because I was working on final projects for school and studying for my math final.

STI Back Up and Running

I'm doing good in all my classes and passed first half of my math final with flying colors. I have two more projects due tomorrow and on Wednesday and then I Thursday is my last final. Then a break.

Comfort

My Aunt took this photo of me when she was going to college and I have always loved it. Yes I used to suck my fingers once upon a time. Hee, Hee! I remember going to Germany one summer and in bed one night I realized that I hadn't sucked my fingers in a while so I gave it and try and they tasted awful and they weren't all soft. That was the end of that. I used to sit behind this fuzzy pillow on our sofa while watching Adam 12 with my Dad. Does anyone remember that Police Show?

Play Games

Our little guy is starting to love video games. I put it off as long as I could but am glad he is usually happy to play for only 15 minuts to half an hour. Both the kids love to go to Chuck E. Cheese.

Gammie's Memorial

My Grandmothers Memorial was so great. She has so many wonderful friends and family there. It was wonderful to visit with so many people who thought her an inspirational women and that she shared her faith with so many. Her life is an inspiration to me.

Think Pink

Mom has a great attitude about her treatments and we have hope...We went one Saturday when she went to get her shot. The kid's watched from a safe distance. Didn't want to get to close because the shot could rub off and they might get one. Ha! Ha! I was so glad when they had Flu Mist instead of a shot this year. Must less traumatic.

Haynay "Rough and Tough Kit"

The kid's had so much fun at Kids Kamp at our church this summer. I volunteered and then you both got to enjoy all the activities. Sparks Christian Fellowship has such a wonderful children's program and I'm so thankful for the everyday teachings they provide, that we can be imperfect human being and God loves us all the more.

In Memory of "Gammie"

I lost my "Gammie" early this morning. She had injured herself last week in another fall and there was nothing that could be done. Then early this am she feel out of bed. I'm so glad that I was able to speak to her on Sunday and tried to raise her spirits. I inherited her gracefulness and am told that I need a Bubble to wear so that I don't get hurt. She was an inspirational women who was loved by so many and who always had a card game going somewhere. I hope that when I'm 93 I will be just as interesting of a women as my Gammie. The kid's talked about her going to Heaven to be with Bubba and Jesus...

Gam came to visit me in Carlsbad CA in the 1990's and I did her make up at the Salon I worked at. She looked so beautiful I had to get a picture.

I have fond memories of watching Lawrence Welk on Sat. nights after we played cards and ate popcorn. When ever we visit you in St. George we watch with you.

Dad had your VCR programed to tape your favorite shows so you would never miss them.

We all took turns holding the puppies and you enjoyed it just as much as the rest of us. What a fun evening.

The kid's and I walked down to the mail box with you. We were enjoy our visit in April 2008.

I made enchilada dinner for Dad and Gammie's friends the Hixon's. The kid had their own little table next to ours. It was so cute; they wanted a center piece on it to.

A picnic in Washington Park on a windy afternoon. I think it was fun that we got out and you enjoyed watching me play with the kid's.

Gammie sure enjoyed her little lap warmers. The kid's always had fun with them too!

We drove down to Dad's trailer in the desert on afternoon. He was not feeling very well and had to go lay down after lunch.

We tried to have nice meals and freeze the left overs for you.

You entertained the grand kid's while I ran an errand to the store and they had a good time playing cards with you.

Getting a hug is the best from great grandson's!

We took you to Red Lobster one evening and all had a yummy dinner together. Gam was so happy to get out for a bit.

You were pushed to lunch and we visited a bit and met some of your friends. You were recovering from your vertebral injury.

Having fun at your temporary lodgings. The kid's wanted badly to run in the hallways and Mom had to put a stop to that.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Gammie and enjoyed hearing about your life over the years and getting to know you as an adult was great. We always had interesting talks. I will miss you so much but know you are glad to have moved on to a spiritual place and that I will see you again one day myself.

AWP - Trick or Treat

This was an easy costume for you and you looked so cute. Love the photo in the bathroom mirror. What a fun party we went to.

You had just turned three and didn't quite understand the trick or treat thing. The other kid's would ring the door bell and say trick or treat and you would go into the house and start looking around for toys. It was so cute. Mima had gotten a little Harley Davidson jacket at the Thrift store and you looked so cute with Mommy's old biker scarf.
