Pirate Princess

I took these photo's in May for a contest at the local scrapbook store. But wanted to do these again in digital. Our daughter was not interested in helping me until I said she could wear some of Mommies makeup and one of my skirts with her brothers costume. My Traditional page is cute too! This is such a fun kit and I've used it over and over especially for Halloween.

Kit is from Studio Flergs - Evilicious, and the Font is Elegant

Merry Christmas

I don't know about the rest of you but I have been very busy getting ready for Christmas. I have been a sewing machine the last two weeks. Making baby doll clothes and barbie clothes. There just aren't any nice things to buy. I am fed up with Mattel not making appropriate clothing items for their dolls. I am thinking of writing a letter along with not purchasing any more of their products. I remember Barbie being wholesome, a Prom Queen, Debutant, Career Woman and now she looks like ... I can't say. If I wanted my daughter to play with that kind of doll I would buy her one of those Brat Dolls. So I have been sewing Ball gowns and Princess dresses and will be expanding that to include her horses. Hee! Hee! Sorry nothing new in the way of scrap pages. Our printer/scanner is kaput and our digital camera crashed as well. I'm just glad it's not car repairs. Knock on wood. Well I hope to have a couple of new pages done later this week. I am doing a tribute to my Dad!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and those who are of other Religious Faiths will enjoy their own celebrations as well. Remember live in the moment...

The Big Snow

Just finished this one and Love it. This is an old photo of my son in his snow suit. We had a really bad snow when he was a year and a half and this was one of the first days that we could get out. The sidewalks and most of the streets were still uncleared. He had a wonderful time. I probably had him dressed to warm but he lived. Ha!

This is a great kit by Magic World called Winter Frost, the Font is Crystal and Elegant. Click on the link to check out this fun site, http://magi-magicworld.blogspot.com/

Merry Christmas

Love these photo's of our daughter in her Santa Hat. I laid her on our bed with a white sheet that I hung from the ceiling. I wish I had done this with my son but I didn't. Working a night job at the time and just couldn't manage. This is such a great kit at Water LO Projects. Click link to check out all there beautiful work. http://waterloproject.blogspot.com/

Train

This layout deserved the two pages to stick together so I had a bit of a challenge connecting them. The kids love to play Polar Express on the train down town. This time my son made tickets in advance and then he punched them with my hole punch. He drew on them and put stickers; very cute.

Background paper is from the Shabby Pickle - Holly Designs - Juicy Fruit, Stripe is from M. In My Pocket

We were at a nice park when I got these photo's. Knew I wanted to use a pocket and was able to bend it to fit around her hand and get the right angle with my photo effects software. It was a fun little experiment. She is so photogenic and is always picking up little treasures as she calls them when we are out. Here is a sampling of the goodies she finds.
This was a fun layout to do. I used A Work in Progress - Blue Jeans Kit. The font is Dirty Ego in several shades.

Mom was here for my nephew's graduation and she wanted to have her photo taken in front of this cool mural. This was a fun page because I don't have many of her. I know she's gona love it.

A Blustery Day - Newest Watercolor

Well here is the latest painting, "A Blustery Day". It is showing from now until Dec. 29Th at the Wilbur B. May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Park. The Sierra Watercolor Society Show is called Around the World in Art. And I got a sneak peek and it's amazing. What a fantastic bunch of artists we have in our group. I will have a hard time voting for my favorite painting. I have three that are begging for my vote. This one isn't a 10 but maybe an 8. My mentor Joyce Burke used to tell us to rate our work and if it's a 10 to stop painting. That's the hardest thing to learn with watercolor. When to put your brush down. I feel it could have used a little more contrast with darks but it was late and I still had to frame it so I said to myself, "it's an 8".

Halloween Pages

Well these are most of the Halloween photo's but not all. I will just save the others; don't feel like I have to scrap them all anymore. Used quiet a few fun kit's. Flergs comes to mind Faith True & Daielle Engebretson Nicole @ Kindred Creations Spookalicious, Jessica Edwards @ Ahhh Scraps and the one with the Haunted House I made myself. Along with the ghosts. Kid's are already talking about Trick or Treating next year. We had a wonderful time passing out candy to all the neighborhood kid's at our church. They said that we had about 500 who came through this year. WOW!
I am working on a cute page right now using A Work In Progress and can't wait to post it to my blog. My daughter is so adorable in it. And there's a little story to go with it. Be back soon.

Beary Lovely page 1

I like doing two page layouts for my albums because they go so nice together and because I usually have more than one photo to scrap. This is a cute one of Grandma and my daughter.
Same kit was used from the Shabby Pickle. I uploaded these to their Gallery but am still having trouble making the other layouts small enough. I lost my alpha's from Q to Z because of accidentally hitting I don't know what and they were gone. I was taking them off of one sheet and making them individual. Now I can't find them anywhere. What a disappointment. Lesson learned. Make a copy of the sheet and then individualize them.

Beary Lovely page 2

A Boy and his Tractor

We went to the pumpkin patch and the kids always have such a great time. They have a bounce house, animals, games, corn maze and hayride. Our son loves to sit on the tractor and look at all the farm equipment. Ever since the "Cars" movie he loves combines or as he calls them "Frank". This has been a really beautiful kit to work with because the shadows are included and that takes so much time to put them in. This is the same kit I used for Autumn Splendor. We have another trip to the pumpkin patch planned for this evening. It will be fun to be there after dark.

Autumn Splendor

This is also from the Shabby Pickle. Kit by Jofia Devoe, it's beautiful. My daughter and I went to a nearby park to play and collect leaves. She is so photogenic and sometimes a bit of a ham. This one turned out so pretty and was a bit of a challenge.

Merry Go Round

Photos of Kids at the Mall. They love riding the Merry go Round and going into Build a Bear Workshop. This cute kit, Designs by Julie Bullock at the Shabby Pickle.

Dinner out at Chili's

Excited about this new layout. Just picked up Studio Flerges new kit Sweet Pea at Scrapbook Graphics http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=42. Going to have some fun with this kit and love that so many of the elements have shadows and because my program is inadequate I don't have good shadows. Usually I airbrush them on which is very time consuming. Still having trouble uploading my layouts to a Gallery. My images are to large and haven't figured out how to make the info on them smaller. I'll get it eventually.

WOW, you should go to Studio Flerges and see her new kit. It's beautiful. Lots of white and satin and sparkle.

Used this photo from June when we went out to dinner at Chili's. It was a fun evening and we always take a few happy meal toys when we go somewhere nice and the kids are completely entertained. I look at my daughters cute expression and wonder what she was thinking about.

On another note. Still thinking about what to paint for the Wilbur B. May Museum show in November. I think something with fall or winter colors. I have some great snow pictures from Galena Creek.

See link below to check out Vicki's blog and all her great kits including this one.

Soon to be Back Drop

This is the page I'm wanting to add as a back drop instead of the black. May have to download a template and make it a bit smaller on the edges but we will see. Had a blast putting this together to go with the header.

Lastest Layout with Faith True Kit

Well still needing to get the backdrop for my blog uploaded. Hubby will have to help because he's a wiz at computer stuff. I'm learning. I've been busy scrap booking and putting together some quick pages for when I have some photo's ready. Here is one that turned out really great. Got the kit from Faith True as a freebie. Also made a Brag Book but have not added any pictures to them yet. Learned a little about templates on this one. Will add more feature's as I go along.

Thank you to all who are checking into my site. News will be sporadic and maybe just weekly. I am just to busy. Getting ready for Halloween. Everyone is very excited and already asking to go trick or treating. Always have the camera with me because you never know where the incredible photo is going to be...

First Blog

Well I already wrote this in the wrong section and now have to start over. I still have so much to learn. But Baby I've come along way already. I didn't know how to get the photo's off my digital camera when I first started. Ha! I laid out a way cool blog page and header but still have to figure out how to get them here. One step at a time.

Vicki from A Work in Progress said I could use her designs for my blog page. She has some really fantastic stuff on her site. I'll have to figure out links as well.

My next art show is with the Sierra Watercolor Society in Nov. and Dec. It is our annual Christmas Party Show. Last year I won Peoples Choice for "Potenstein Germany". I couldn't have been more surprised by that than if my head had been sewn to the carpet. WOW! Guess I better get busy and paint something amazing. Hee!

Well time to go fix a light dinner for the kid's and I. Daddy is working the late shift tonight. This is so exciting...
