Love to Play

Little Sister like to Bounce and Slide same as big brother. She is amazing and tries whatever big brother is doing. I run around as much as they do, just not much climbing.
Kit used was from Scrap Matters - Girls Rock, Font - Treasure Map Deadhand. This kit will be available for purchase at Scrap Matters at the end of the month.

Rainy Day Swim

We love to go swim especially with friends. This day was with my son's school during a rain/snow storm. How exciting and fun. He had a blast playing with his buddies.
Kit used was Chaos Lounge - Digital Candy - Rainy Day Blues & Climbing Trees, Word Art - Artgal Style, Fonts used - Smudgers, Distress, Treasure Map Deadhand.

Pretty in Pink

She got a pretty gingham stroller for Christmas and enjoyed pushing her baby through the house and also putting her stuffed animals in it too! She does "Cheese" really good. You can tell when she says.

Jump Man Jump

This was a Preschool outing last year. The kid's have so much fun at these Bounce places. They get quite a bit of run around time and are worn out when we leave. I couldn't believe it when my daughter only two and a half wanted to go down the big slide all by herself. You know that feeling you get when they are doing something your uncertain they can and your breath catches in your chest and your heart is racing. Well she made it to the top and slide down. Wheeeew...
My son's favorite part was knocking his opponent off their perch with big padded sticks.
Kit used was Brittish Designs - Monstrosity, Font - Ultimatum. Click on link to go to their blog.

Little Tiger

He wants to play with Daddy so bad and it's so cute how he wears his Bob the Builder Tool belt to hold his clubs. One day he will be playing with Daddy and maybe me too. It's been a while but I bet I'll pick it up again. I still rather be mountain biking or scraping. This is a fun kit to work with. I like all the different textures. Changed the frame to fit my photo.

I used Stacey Towers new kit Sk8 or Die Dude kit. Very cute for boys. Go to my side bar to check out her site. She's under Random Musings of a Scrapaholic.

Then and Now

This has been a difficult three months. My Dad passed away on January 28th and my sister and I were there to help with his final days. My nephew did a great job caring for him before our arrival. It has been a roller coaster of happiness, sadness and hope. Hoping that the cancer would be cured, happy that we were getting this chance to take care of things, spend time together and say good by, Sad because life would never be the same with out our Dad; who told the best stories, gave the best advise and was always willing to help. My kiddo's are having a hard time understanding that their Bubba is gone to be with God. So I'll take it one day at a time, one moment at a time and keep scraping to keep my sanity...Thanks for letting me share.

Kit used was Stacey Towers - Plum Pudding, Font - Bird House. Check out her site on link.

Happiest Memory of 2008

After a lovely dinner with my husband we went home and he stayed with the kid's and got them to bed so I could go for drinks and laughs with my Dad and Sister. We had a great time. It is one of my favorite memories of 2008.

Dental Visit

Our son had his first Dental cleaning and X-rays. He did such a great job. He has been going to the Dentist since he was 18 months old. All these visits with only a look see sure helped make it smooth going for the first actual cleaning. A far cry from my own childhood horor stories of Dental visits.

Used Stacey Towers - A Little Sassy for this one. Changed the color of the Alphas to stand out a bit more.

New Look for Blog

Well I thought I would do something a little different and for Valentine's Day. It's our anniversary and I'm celebrating early. We give each other funny cards and a traditional gift of paper, wood whatever it might be. Two years ago it was cotton and he put two Q-tips in the card. I never laughed so hard and I still have the Q-tips and card.

My background page and header are from Studio Flergs. Kits used were Sweet Pea, Love Actually and Mango Tango Freebie. Megan is the bomb when it comes to design. Love all her kits.

Cutie Pie Princess

My daughter was being silly in the car one day and I happened to get it on my digital. She was peeking through her princess crown and giggling. It was so funny. I like that I made one photo black and white.

Fast Car

Still have to do the journaling on this one but I can do it later. Our son loves to use tape on his toys to make them more interesting. He taped this to his car so it could be a fast car "Rocket" car. Sometimes I am needed to assist in the taping. I can hear my Dad in my head yelling up from the garage, "Who used up all my Tape?" It was me. I was forever taping and making things. I better buy stock in 3M. Ha! Ha!
This is a new kit I picked up and so cute for a boy. It's from Britt-ish Designs - Scrap Maters - Motor Mania. Our daughter had fun opening her gifts once she got started. She loved all the horses the best. Santa brought her a country barbie and stable with dog. She is nice most of the time and must gets her naughtiness from Daddy. Hee! Hee! She actually reminds me of my sister when she was little.

The kit again is by Sunshine Studio Scraps - Kadoozie and used the Kadoozie add-on. Also used the QP with Film Strip. To get this cute kit go to Labels "A Special Gift" and click on link.

We go to the football track quite often to ride our bikes and tricycle. No cars to worry about. When I need to go for a ride, the kid's ride in the trailer and they enjoy the ride behind Mom as long as we stop at a park during our travels.

I have completed 15 layouts this week. Lots of Christmas pictures for the Grandma's and Great Grandma's. I won't post all of them. I have been using my supply of Quick Pages to try to catch up. I'm now only two year's behind. Am I repeating myself.

Santa-livery

Mommy was up first making sure batteries were charged and the tri-pod was up and so forth and so on...Our son was up next and checking out everything. He looked in the stockings, under the tree at the gifts and noticed that Santa and his reindeer ate all the cookies and milk. We played with the puppet's until everyone was up. It didn't take them long.

The kit I used for this one was from Lisa Whitney Designs - Holiday Spirit, Font was Franklin Gothic Book. Just click on link below to see her site. http://lisawhitney.typepad.com/eclecticmommy/2008/11/its-beginning-t.html

A Special Gift

We received a package from some family in Canada and held it until Christmas eve. The children were very excited about opening it as they had been asking to open the gifts under the tree for a day and a half. They had such a fun time playing with the handmade puppets and my husband laughed at all my silly voices and sound effects.
We just returned from a week holiday visiting. All the extended family was there and it was so great to see everyone and visit a little. It was such nice weather that I hated to go home but the kids were missing Daddy. We will drive down to see Dad at the end of the month and my nephew will stay behind to care for him and drive him to all his appointments. We want to spend as much time with him as we can...

Pirate Princess

I took these photo's in May for a contest at the local scrapbook store. But wanted to do these again in digital. This is such a fun kit and I've used it over and over especially for Halloween.

Merry Christmas

I don't know about the rest of you but I have been very busy getting ready for Christmas. I have been a sewing machine the last two weeks. Making baby doll clothes and barbie clothes. There just aren't any nice things to buy. I am fed up with Mattel not making appropriate clothing items for their dolls. I am thinking of writing a letter along with not purchasing any more of their products. I remember Barbie being wholesome, a Prom Queen, Debutant, Career Woman and now she looks like ... I can't say. If I wanted my daughter to play with that kind of doll I would buy her one of those Brat Dolls. So I have been sewing Ball gowns and Princess dresses and will be expanding that to include her horses. Hee! Hee! Sorry nothing new in the way of scrap pages. Our printer/scanner is kaput and our digital camera crashed as well. I'm just glad it's not car repairs. Knock on wood. Well I hope to have a couple of new pages done later this week. I am doing a tribute to my Dad!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and those who are of other Religious Faiths will enjoy their own celebrations as well. Remember live in the moment...
